Despite having paid attention to Chinese media for years, it continues to strike me, having been raised in a pluralist society, as somehow... wrong... that every single expert raises the same points in support of the same narrative.
But then, it's the grand trade-off of authoritarian societies. When they're right, actions are taken on the basis quickly and efficiently. When wrong, everyone comes along for the ride regardless of where it leads.
